Duties may include peer or para-professional counseling in person or over the telephone with regard to personal, academic, or financial concerns; referring to appropriate agencies or departments; providing information regarding policies, services, or programs; and performing routine administrative tasks such as writing correspondence.

Desirable Qualifications: Upperclassman preferred; minimum one year experience in department, or coursework in psychology or sociology preferred; thorough knowledge of counseling area; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to deal with wide variety of people and problems; ability to work with little supervision and handle confidential information; must be mature, reliable, and concerned.
